submitted 5.4 years ago by coconuts
I think I've read about 3 or 4 more posts from reddit over the last few month that suggest that there's increasing violence that is "drug related" in and around Edmonton.
I couldn't find 2 of the instances that I was thinking of, but I don't think that all of this increased violence is coincidence.
Edmonton police hunt 2 gunmen in fatal shooting Police respond to reports of gunshots and collision in north Edmonton
Quote from the CBC article
A lot of these home invasions we're seeing happening around the city are all involving the drug trade. It's one drug group ripping off another drug group. Lots of violence lately.
Have you guys seen anything or know what's going on?
Edit: Moar articles! Biker gang turf wars could break out in economic slump, Calgary police say
