IIRC he was part of Icefrog's beta testing group for Dota 1 so he's generally in the know when an update is going to hit I guess, also I don't think it hurts for Valve to have contact with the mods of one of the biggest English dota communities (cyborgmatt and Bruno seemed to have frequent contact with the dota 2 team).

I could be wrong though and be thinking of a different mod

I believe that Wykrym is part of the team that tests game builds before they even get uploaded to the public test servers, but this is just what I've heard as well.

He always seems to post the Dota 2 blog posts so he either gets a tip from whoever runs the blog or he runs the blog himself.

Yeah, from what I could deduce from Twitter posts between Dota 2 personalities, him and ReaverXai seems to have an inside track with Icefrog

Well I mean bruno works for Valve now so I'd hope he has frequent contact with the team.

Valve doesn't have any official community PR people. Instead, they like to use community members to pass along the information. Which is cool in one respect, but those members get shot as messengers sometimes. Look at Cyborgmatt, Community gave him up and down the road, called him fat, etc. They were doing this to someone who spent hours dissecting patches for the community for free. It's a shame.

I think he's just a guy that actively participates in the Dota 2 community while making art (as he has a DeviantArt page with some pretty awesome art) He posts alot to his Facebook page and Twitter too

On the note about posting the official updates, I think they just have a mod post them to the subreddit instead causing a massive rush of people trying to post it for upvotes

He's been around a LONG time. He had something to do with giving away early Dota 2 beta keys I think.

See if you can get him in here, just try messaging him. Don't make it look like it's anything against reddit though. I feel like people are still very loyal to it. I personally don't have a problem with reddit but I like that this is a smaller community and I don't get downvoted as much =[

Also If you need help I would be happy to mod along side you. I am really liking this site.
