Hey all, as more and more people start creating deepfakes, I was thinking we could start up a discussion about what new people should know as far as choosing models, scenes, lighting etc... Basically, anything not related to the actual technical process of making fakes (although certain technical aspects could be mentioned).
All users can participate, but I think creators with a good track record of making convincing Deepfakes input would be most valuable.
To start the discussion, from what I've seen is that model likeness to celeb is super important. However, the caveat to this would be if the models head shape matches up as well. Many pornstars look like celebs already (ex. Lela star, Anetta Keyes, etc...) Which does helps sell the fake most definitely... Unless the celeb has a head size larger than her body and the pornstar is the opposite (small head, large frame).
I'm curious to find what tips others would give to aspiring deepfakers...

Good points all around! I also think people don't try to vary the celeb facial expressions enough. The worst is when you got a good deepfake going and she leaned back and the effect is totally lost. I suppose if the pornstar looks similar already, it may mask this but when it's bad... ITS BAD.
Anyway, rdcy fakes on Tumblr found a scene where Gal Gadot tilts her head back and closes her eyes. He used it for a headswap but it's exactly the kind of thing more deepfakers need to have in their arsenal if they are ever going to take it to the next level
