you're probably already very aware, but i've seen it done with a drill press and end mill bit.

finished result wasnt too pretty/smooth on the inside, but that can be fixed if one desires. (probably using a router, lol)

what's your opinion on router versus drill press methods? (asking this of everyone here @Winchester270 @Thyhorrorcosmic13 @smite1911 @tossyokeys )

I've done the drill press end mill 80%. I bought the kit through www.tnarmsco.com and it came out functional. I have to say it was difficult and time consuming as the end mill on the drill bit pushing sideways was tough as the press really isn't intended for sideways pressure. I've heard people who have used the router method say it is quick and easy. I'd love to hear from someone who has experience with them as I'm looking to make another rifle.

thanks very much for your response :)

i have neither a drill press nor a router, so if i'm gonna buy a tool i guess i should go with the router.

Cant beat the easy jig with a router. I did mine that way and it was fairly quick and very easy. Also a drill press spins very slow, and the end mill is suppoed to spin very fast to work properly.
