I can't actually remember how I initially got interested in crossdressing. Part of it in relation, I suppose, to my gender identity - androgynous. I could go off onto a tangent and try to explain it, but the short version is, I'd like to be able to convincingly present as either gender, if I so wish, or androgynously, in the best instance. I always used to enjoy reading gender bender manga - things like Ranma 1/2. I was envious of his ability to change gender with just a bucket of water. I'd kill for that. Not so easy in the real world. Lots of effort has to be put in, to create the right shapes, or the illusions of them, careful shaving, makeup, posture. I can't remember not wanting to be androgynous, that's how far back it goes. Even before I knew the word. But, it's not socially acceptable. So I waited. Eventually, I ended up moving away from home, so here I am. I started crossdressing last year. I can't tell if I'm very good at it too well without anyone else to ask, but I enjoy it. It's nice to wear the clothes I want to wear, and look closer to how I want to look. I think it's important to do the things you enjoy.
