Exact;y. The words of others only have power if you give them power. Your own internal words beat you up worse than anything. Because you believe those words. The words of others are meaningless, unless I give them meaning and power.

Words don't hurt if you apply simple logic.

Is what they said true? If it is then why waste energy fighting the truth?

Is what they said false? If so then why waste energy over something not true?

Then there's always the power button.

We should be saying something like "Report, Block and Move on."

That's just avoiding the 'problem'. CrustardsLastStand's assessment hit the nail on the head.

There is no point in getting bent out of shape over words.

Anyone that believes this needs to be hit with sticks and stones until they understand that words don't hurt.

This just annoys me and reminds of a Toddler falling over.

If I'm closest to it goes something like this:

Me: "Oop! Ha ha you're ok" helps Toddler stand up

"Ohh look a distraction!"

Toddler enjoys distraction and is happy.

.

If Toddler's mother is closest this happens:

Mother: "Oohh no! Oh my! What a nasty fall! Are you okay my precious? Are you hurt?"

Toddler: still on ground, looks at boo boo and starts wailing hysterically for long time

If people can be hurt by words, then they should be hurt by words. Hopefully, they will cull themselves from the herd.

"An insult says nothing about the person being insulted, and all about the person making the insult."

Quote me on that. Well, actually it's a divine revelation from my beloved Goddess, but close enough. Quote me on that.

I know of entire religions that take small insults to their prophets as justification to commit murder. My Goddess is much more mature and secure in her supremacy. It's one of the ways you can spot false religions.
