There's time for that once we win. For now, we're still at war and winning the war means using whatever means necessary. They dominated the culture for the last 100 years because of Alinsky-esque philosophies. It clearly works, so why wouldn't we use it? You can be principled and end up dead in a ditch or you can do what it takes to win and ask for forgiveness afterwards.

There is always the option of attempting to win through moral principles instead of "doing what it takes to win" and risking ending up dead in a ditch before you had the chance to ask for forgiveness. Victory by evil ends undermines the final outcome and stains the soul. The Knights Templar started with noble intentions that won wars but ended as a satanic cult that was driven out. There are no good answers but gambling your soul is never a good bet
