I love pickled garlic, I can eat pickled cloves like berries.
Considering resuming our subscription to mystery box vegetables on the condition the wife takes responsibility for pickling what we don't use each week so nothing goes to waste.

Stop buying all the vinegar fuckface

I supplemented all my TP and vinegar way back in Dec/Jan before all the panic buying took hold. Haven't even touched it yet, but I will. Gotta cycle the stock.

I made pickled eggs recently, going to try them out in a week or so. You don't even need to go through some canning process, just make the eggs, put some spices in, and half/half water/vinegar boiling solution over it, then store them in the fridge.

Late response. I have never had a pickled egg. I love eggs and I love pickled veggies but have never had pickled protein. Slightly weirds me out. How would you describe it?

Well the eggs were harder, like rubber almost, but tasted great.

Nice! I'm off the next week, and have a few things in mind to pickle, including garlic.
Also love frigerator pickles. Quick, easy, and a good overnight soak. They don't last long enough to go bad.
Need some freah dill too...making a mental list for tomorrow.
Eggs, garlics, onions, cukes, peppers.

I feel a homely sense of pride looking at my home- preserved foods on the shelf. No preservatives other than salt, vinegar, and heat.
