Yes. They should have put out the fires. It's almost as if the underground water system for the sprinklers failed. I can't imagine what kind of event would have damaged that. I mean, a building would have had to collapse in the area to do something like that. Unimaginable, isn't it?

it is quite clear that the building was deliberately setup to collapse from the inside, so perhaps that involved damaging the watering system first. there are those who have put forward the idea that there were secret tunnels under the buildings to facilitate a form of nuclear detonation that uses technology developed in the 1960s in america to turn rock into dust (originally intended for demolitions and terraforming the earth). this technology definitely exists and was even advertised by the us government in the 60s, so it is possible that that had a part to play.
