Part of the problem here is that their handlers are excited to find drugs or drug-laden money, because it means they get a cut.
Remove that excitement and the dogs won't have anything to read - if their handlers treated their job like a job and not like a treasure hunt.

Was just coming in to say this. It also hurts the accuracy of the dogs when the handlers get the dogs to do false positives so they can do illegal searches "legally".
