Ever noticed how "the flu" covers such a wide variety of symptoms and yourdoctor usually won't test you before just prescribing you azithromycin?

Fun fact: they prescribe the same dosage of azithromycin for a toddler as an adult. Works well if the toddler actually has a bacterial infection. Not so much on the adult. This intentionally underprescribing of antibiotics is how we really get drug resistant infections.

Actually never had a doc prescribe antibiotics without some test first. That's rare.
And it doesn't do anything against flu viruses.

Flu is viral, antibiotics won't help. Your doctor sounds like a moron.

I don't have a doctor because modern medicine is a scam with moronic doctors operating as the middle men.

There was study recently that showed older people has less frequency of death if they didn't get the flu shot. Part of the reason was they had had all the flu shots and retained immunity for the various strains.
I would imagine also keeping yourself away from masses of people in medical treatment areas lessens your chances of catching something at the pharmacy or doctors office.
Anyway. I skipped the flu shot for the first to e 3 years ago and will this year too.
I keep hand sanitizer in my car door and immediately use it after being in any public place and returning to the car.
Also if you don't touch your face with your hands its almost impossible to get the flu or a cold because you transmit it from a surface to your hands and then to your face to have it infect you through your nose or eyes.
Don't touch your damn face.

what's this about? Antacids cause pneumonia?
Of course all drugs are shit these days with terrible side effects so you should avoid them when possible but this is a new one to me. Maybe they lower immunity?
"ASRN responds to these questions with a resounding no, pointing out that things like stomach acid-suppressing drugs are more likely to cause pneumonia than influenza."

Neat.
