Definitely not live.

But the gold face screen is the solar visor that comes down.

However, there is no way he was able to make that drop down that quickly and get his arm back into the other picture.

Sure, they could have had 2 cameras, and cut from camera A to camera B in the live feed, but again, the ability to move in the suit that fast (less than one second between visor up and visor down, and arm back in position) would require superhuman speed.

they claim it is a live feed. i know it is the solar visor.. just a joke that he can do it that fast.

i suspect the first shot is in the water tank, the second one is CGI. that is the reason for the 'break'. real-life to cgi break.

I don't recall seeing the neutral buoyancy tank having that much detail. At least the one in Huntsville doesn't. But, I believe there is also a training facility at Stennis? I have never visited that location.

The only place where there is that much detail is at Johnson in Houston, where a full mock up of the ISS is held and where training occurs.
