From the article:
“I am a lone voice in the academic and social work world speaking out against the [trensgender] transitioning of autistic people, what I feel to be both a crime against the disabled as well as their sterilization,”
One of the things that i have found odd, is how the trans community gets so much publicity. They are .04% of the total population. They really are a small and insignificant number. Yet they sure do make the news, and have such a huge lobby.
Why?
Then there is the suicide rate. They kill themselves, and no one asks why. They always blame society, yet you are not allowed to ask if the transiting surgery was responsible. Yet that is one huge variable with this group of people. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3043071/
Perhaps their suicide rate is part of the plan. Transgender people tend to have other mental illnesses. Perhaps this is a clever social scheme to remove mental illness from the gene pool.
This would explain the social pressure for society to accept the surgery as "healthy and safe", even though evidence suggests otherwise. It would also explain the huge push in media to accept this as "normal", despite this particular mental illness being present in a very small percentage of society.
Society now has a means to "ethically" cull the mentally ill. We lie to them, tell them to change genders, if they survive they are sterile, if they kill themselves, problem solved.

Nothing exists in a vacuum.
I have wondered if the obesity epidemic is engineered, designed to shorten the age of the population so as to limit benefit payouts. Remember that social security was created back when the average life expectancy was in the 60s. The system was not designed for people to live to be 80, much less 100.
so how does a future society cope with having to provide healthcare and social security to 300 million people? Maybe it can't. So they have to find an ethical way to cull the population, or at least a way that they can get away with.
So we have these movements, the LGBT and the Healthy at every size movements. both advocate very self destructive life styles. One advocates become so unhealthy that you die at 50, right when you pay off your student loans, the other advocates getting a surgery that increases you chance for suicide drastically.
Suddenly the system is not drained so heavily, and it is left wit a "better quality" of person, one that is more "deserving" of benefits.
Or i could just be crazy. An utter nut job who sees patterns that don't exist.

I doubt it will be slavery. Fat people are very unproductive, and a drain on resources. I also doubt that they would survive a prolonged recession.
Seriously, morbid obesity is more fatal than smoking.
One possibility is that the obesity epidemic is a hedge. Money goes into short term investment for feeding them and keeping them alive just long enough, then when enough of the population is obese or in culling stage, BAM something happens. Perhaps a shortage of diabetic supplies, or a health care system crash. Next thing we know the population is back down to 250 million or 200 million.
Then the real estate and job markets will return to 1980s levels.
