Well, there's a conspiracy for you, then; because the ABT claims that they can't prove when the alcohol was purchased and (therefore) it should all be taken away by 2:00am. I've seen people buy multiple drinks and insist upon sitting around for hours until they are all gone.
I suppose this is the same reason that you can be arrested for having a sea turtle skull or an eagle feather. You probably didn't kill that animal, but how do you prove it?
I'll call the agency, tomorrow, and get a definitive answer on what their current policy is; and I'm not adverse to being wrong.

The 2:00 am rule prevents the sale of alcohol past that hour. It doesn't mean you can't have the alcohol already purchased.
