So have you started your recipe yet? Are you using an apple syrup? Apple pie spice? Going for an apple-caramel flavor? What's your approach?

I'm trying apple sauce, apple pie spice, brown sugar, whole milk and vanilla extract. Debating another extract, maybe rum.

Does the apple flavor come through? If it's too weak, you could try apple cider instead of applesauce, or make a simple syrup with the cider and sugar, or I suppose try an apple flavored Torani syrup.
