It looks like this list doesn't include the biggest money saver, laundry detergent! I like this type of frugality, but I think most of these cleaners are just kind of foofy.

All you need for laundry detergent is sodium carbonate, borax, and bar soap (Walmart has the first 2 if you can't find them). It takes 30 minutes to make 5 gallons! You can use the same stuff to make dishwasher soap too.

But wait! They did link you to this laundry detergent recipe eventually (after a couple of clicks). I will definitely try it. I've read about it for years but never finally did it.

My liberal grandparents tried this...lasted a week. They have a maid service come once ever few weeks since they aren't able to keep up with all the house work these days. They said hell no to using the organic stuff. Don't fall for this. If you want to be sure your surfaces are clean use cleaner you buy and not make. E.Coli isn't something to screw around with and risk getting very sick over. Look up C. Diff. that is a fun one.

C. Diff is what your going to have to worry about. Research it. I had it. I almost died from it. My house is a very clean house, and stays that way. Scary shit.
