The original squatters of this subverse anonymized this sub and were just using it to promote a community at another site.
I will briefly explain what that means. There is a moderator setting to anonymize the subverse. This turns the names of posters into a number and prevents voting. This was chosen. It is currently an irreversible choice meaning that I can't change it back. Voat is working on trying to come up with a way to reverse it. We may have to resort to just blowing up the subverse and starting again.
With that said, I invite you to join us at /v/Christfollowers until this gets figured out.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." - John 14:6
This place was created to be a place where all the different streams and tribes of Christianity can get together to encourage and challenge each other. As well as being a place for nonChristians to ask serious inquiries about what Christians believe.
Please refrain from posting non-Christian posts, promoting nonChristian agendas, attacking Christianity in a rude rather than an examining way, and spamming.
We'll figure out how this community will work together.

It has been a while since I've seen that article, but I will throw out an alternate possibility. Moses did marry a woman, but never even looked at her or went in unto her because he feared God's Law. If that is a possible solution then the only way I see it working for the event in Genesis is that Moses was telling the story about the event and they became upset about it. This event if true happened before Moses left Egypt with Israel.
However as many seem to forget, just because a people live in a land today doesn't mean that land had those same people living there 4000 years ago much less 2000 years ago. Here is an example. Ruth lived in the land of Moab. During the time of Ruth the Land of Moab was controlled by the two and a half tribes of Israel. No actual Moabites lived in the land of Moab. They had been defeated with a remnant fleeing to another land. Those people, the (sorry I can't remember....) who defeated Moab were then defeated by Israel on their way to the promised land. Two and a half tribes took the land for their possession. I have to go, if I can I will fill in the details tomorrow.
