Hi, I don't want to be really picky or a powermod, but at the suggestion of @whitehead and all that upvoted his post I'll be implementing basic submission rules. As of now, your posts will not be removed for breaking rules 1 and 2, but please try to follow the format.
-
When posting a song, post using the following format ->
[Genre] Artist - SongName (Optional Comment Here)
Here is a Wikipedia entry on different Celtic genres. It doesn't have to be perfect, this is just to help people know what type of music a post is about before clicking it.
-
When posting a discussion include the tag [Discussion].

Be a decent person. Don't bully others. This is a music sub.
Let me know what you guys think. Is there anything you would like to see added to this list or to the sub in general?
EDIT:
Based on discussion in the comments the above rules have been edited and are available on the sidebar. If you have anymore questions, concerns, or comments let me know.

Maybe ask other subs how they implement tags/flairs. That way, if you're big on [discussion] being apparent, it would be labeled like this gaming post. It could also work for the [traditional] or [modern] tags. Also, if people use the "suggest a title" feature, which sometimes works better for mobile, the youtube vid may not share the same formatting as rule 1. So just make sure if posts are not being deleted for the first two "rules", label them suggestions.
"Be a decent person" is utterly up to interpretation, and frankly, most voaters would fail by a lot of places on the internet. If you don't want cussing, then you will have to specify it. I am subscribed to /v/thedinnertable, I am okay with enforced civility, but if it is open to interpretation, or regional standards, then it becomes "what about banter?" Similarly, "Don't bully others" can be further explained. Something like repeated insults, repeated aggression, repeated, open harrassment. If I call a spammer or shill a spammer or shill, it means I could be bullying that person, or insulting them. Spam is easy, submissions that have nothing to do with celtic music, or this subverse specifically.
Those are my two thoughts.

Actually, as of now I'm going to get rid of 4. The community can police itself and shouldn't need mod intervention besides spam.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll look into making rule 4 more specific. I'll also, label rules 1 and 2 as suggestions on the sidebar, and will ask mods of other subs about tags. In the meantime the genre in brackets will have to do, but it is a suggestion only.

There should be a flair settings in your subverse tools. I get "This subverse does not currently have any link flairs setup. Please go to flair settings (link on your subverse sidebar) to configure link flairs." when I go to flair a post.
