I think its such a great idea. The people that upvote the most are the people that upvote the easy to digest content. Hope to see a lot less adviceanimal style crap here on voat

Oh man.. Now I can't upvote every comment that I think is hilarious.

The struggle is real.

Yes! I really think the vote limits are a great idea. Rationing my votes has made me think much more about what I'm reading and voting on. I admit that on Reddit sometimes I would go by titles, summaries, and comments and not even read the article submitted. Yet I would vote on it. The vote restrictions here really nailed into place just how stupid my Reddit browsing habits were, and I feel like here there is much more potential for actual participation. Also, I promise to read all of the articles. ;)

Edit: Also, I hope that it cuts down on the trolling and brigading, if only by turning away frustrated newcomers that don't have the patience to move past the block. If they can't participate enough to be unblocked, they probably aren't serious about real participation.

Other than my first day here I haven't noticed the limit at all. I doubt it's changed my behavior very much.

I'm still 6 votes away from being able to do anything. It's getting annoying...

EDIT: 5 and counting...

I hope it stays. Perhaps the number of upvotes you get can be tweaked, but it's definitely a neat idea.
