Idiotic that only once Trump is elected do we consider the USA in a different light. After all those leaks during the Bush II era, of US military and contractors electrocuting peoples genitals, dog mauling, rape with pipe, freezing people, keeping them in boxes, and of course waterboarding. Not to mention how many times Bush and Obama delivered people to other countries that we know torture people. How many people did Obama murder drone without any due process? But yea, now that Trump is elected we change our minds on their approach to human rights.

Trump is more blunt and blatant about it than Obama, or even Bush, was.

Under Bush America took a large international hit, you cannot legitimize torture in this day and age with impunity. That disgust was mitigated under the Obama administration because he talked a good game and (at least as far as I am aware) ended the practice of American torture.

So, to address your comment of

..... now that Trump is elected we change our minds on their approach to human rights.

No, that mindset started under Bus. It took a 'wee break under Obama but is now back with a vengeance under Trump.
