One of them was on the ground, the police would have got the other.

Do we want to live in a society where vigilante justice is acceptable?

The police wouldn't catch anyone and let the one on the ground go.

No, they were both apprehended and according to the article

An Edmonton police source told me the assailant Tews apprehended three blocks away was beaten “pretty bad.” And that officers on the scene thought there were enough inconsistencies in the stories of Tews and his parents to cast doubt on “whether they were telling the whole story.”

So, do you want a society with vigilante justice - a society where every citizen has the right to dispense justice with a baseball bat, if they see that as appropriate.

The dumb rhetoric is strong in this one........

Let me ask you the same question I asked above,

So, do you want a society with vigilante justice - a society where every citizen has the right to dispense justice with a baseball bat, if they see that as appropriate.

Yes. Not only would I use it to save myself and my family, but I would also use it to save you and other people who are unable to defend themselves.

Oh for the love of every god who is and ever was, lets drop the faux heroic rhetoric - you sound exactly like the idiots south of the border using the safety of others attacked by potential though unnamed bad guys[tm] to justify firearms strapped to their leg in Walmart parking lots.

Do you really believe that vigilante justice within Canadian society is a good thing?
