you can buy handcuffs yourself to practice with, who knows, they might even come in handy. sets you buy often come with 2 sets of keys. this is important because you may need to leave a spare key within reach when practicing escape

additionally, HANDCUFFS OFTEN RELY ON A SINGLE TYPE OF STANDARDIZED KEY. KEEPING A HANDCUFF KEY ON YOUR PERSON IN A NECKLACE OR BRACELET MAY SAVE YOUR LIFE

practice handcuff escape regularly, there's a trick to feeling for the hole blind that you need to get familiar with. what you'll literally be doing is blindly putting in a piece of metal the size of a pinky finger into a hole only slightly smaller then the letter "o" on your keyboard...probably under duress. you'll need to practice this one a lot.

trust me on this information, i still need to buy a new pair of practice cuffs after mine got stolen by some fuckface, but at least i still have one of the original keys
