On a basic level I understand that Bitchute is an in-browser torrent system, so I think that means that videos are shared by the user's browsers, all linked together to create a network and dynamic, decentralised storage space.
As I understand a torrent, one or more users would be required to have the torrent files and be connected to the torrent network to be able to share them and the user looking for those files finds and downloads them directly from those other users.
So how does Bitchute work? Does a portion of the video you are watching become a torrent for someone else to download from you?
Hypothetically, if you wanted to help their network and had an old PC not doing anything, or you go into shops with laptops and phones on to try, could you set the browser to Bitchite to help their network share videos, or does it only share what you are watching?
