I've named 2 of mine. The first was 'Mike', a name made by combining the words 'My' and 'bike'. I thought that was pretty clever. The second was 'Knuckles', after the character from Sonic the Hedgehog 3. I chose that name for several reasons, 2 being that the bike was bright red with white tape and an aggressive forward riding position.
I'm trying to come up with a name for my newest bike at the moment.
If you've named any of your bikes, or if you know anyone who has done this, please share. Alternately, you can mock me for naming mine.
edit: I came up with a name for my newest bike. Get ready for this shit because this is pure fucking genius: Black + bike = Blake. I never thought I would once again reach the heights of "My + bike = Mike", but it looks like I'm on a roll.

I hate bike thieves. I really, really, really do. Aside from ignorant, rude, and dangerous drivers, they're the worst thing a cyclist has to deal with (unless you live where theft isn't an issue). I'd love it if all I had to worry about is a flat tire. It always seems to be the rear one that gets punctured.

Yeah, it was a fucked up situation. I had moved out of that house and had planned to go back over and ride my bike home. A few days after I moved I came down with the shingles and was unable to retrieve my bike (and a lot of other stuff) and during that time the scumfuck who replaced me as a room mate either sold it or got it stolen.
When I found out I was out for blood.
Now I love in one of the most intense bike theft counties in the nation. So I think a nice $150 Craig's List bike is in order.

Be careful. If you're buying from craigslist, you've got a good chance of buying from a thief or a fence. In other words, you're supporting the same kind of crooks who not only have screwed you in the past, but who continue to make cycling a riskier investment.
