12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. (2 Timothy 3:12 KJV)
All Christians will suffer persecution, as the devil will only come against those that are serving Christ, and not the ungodly of the world. All persecution is not just physical, but much of it is just verbal and through rejection. If you are not having any persecution then you should wonder why, as if you are going against the world system in serving Christ, the bible says you will suffer persecution.
Jesus said many times that if you follow Him, you will be persecuted (John 15:20, Matthew 10:17, Matthew 24:9, Luke 21:12, John 16:2, Revelation 2:10). Paul also told us that all Christians will suffer persecution (1 Thessalonians 3:4, 1 Corinthians 4:12). The wonderful thing about serving the Lord is that although we will be persecuted, we also are going to endure and have victory over it. You will have battles in the Christian life, but you will come out a winner, as the devil is a defeated foe (James 4:7), and we are the winners of the battle. Praise God that Jesus has given us the power to overcome the devil in all our battles. Thank you Jesus, for making a show of the devil and putting him under our feet.
