Thank you! I have the same plants in the betta tank as the big tank and the same species of snail ramshorn. Ive had nerite snails in to that died. I don't think the gourami is eating them, every time Ive put one in it moves around a little for a day then just lies in the same spot, can still see the snail inside the shell, until it dies.

The ph is around 6.7

Yeah, use less fertiliser if its liquid. It SOO easy to over use, I found out the hard way and my tank got covered in algae. The PH is slightly acidic but shouldn't cause a problem but if it changes suddenly or fluctuates that could cause a problem for them and shock the system.

Yeah I was aware that our tap water is acidic and very soft. I accidentally overdose big time the first 2 times I put it in putting 5 ml per 20 liters instead of 1 ml, I misread the label, not sure if it lingers in the water after that?
