As a socialist, shouldn't he have given that money to the government since he already has 2 houses?
This wouldn't be an issue if he had not run under the socialist banner. He's advocating for taking more money from hard working middle class yet its clear he wants his.
If he was true to his beliefs, what ever they are, the money raised from selling the inherited house should have gone to the government to be recirculated.
