This really struck me when I went to the Bahamas. Beautiful area, crystal clear water, lovely beaches...also tons of trash, piss and shit in the road, and people who don't give a fuck.

Nature doesn't really care whether it's clean, but people sure do appreciate a clean nature.

Caring is kind of a human thing, so you are partially right. I'm sure that pollution causes a hardship on nature in general, so it's just better if we clean up after ourselves.

In my opinion, you are correct. Nature will do as she does as she is supposed to. Well adjusted humans appreciate cleanliness and order. It is in our best interest to do so as a species. Every other animal is more or less the same, cleaniness and order are pillars of life.
my view on this subject anyhow.
