This happened to me years ago. I think I posted the story here or elsewhere once, but back when my husband and I had first started living together we had very little money and for a bit I did not have insurance. My medication, for blinding migraines, was 160$ without the insurance. I didnt have a lot of money, but had a credit card. I sighed and said 'great, more debt' and told the pharmacist to only give me a few of the pills, because it would cost much less.

A lady on line overheard me and paid for my prescription, all 160$ of it. She wanted to be anonymous but the pharmacist pointed her out. I promised her I'd pay it forward so every year I go the pharmacy and give them 50$ to help pay for the prescriptions of those who cant afford them.
