What you just said was motivating enough thank you! I'm just nervous, no more pain then recently just now so I don't think baby will just pop out in the next hour or so but she is definitely coming.

I cant wait to meet her but at the same time its scary knowing I will be a mom for real very soon and nothing can change that.

Yeah no idea if I'll get lasting contractions or not, I usually get irregular ones every night. Feel kinda weird today though dizzy and a general "I think im sick" feeling. Not to unusual when you're me since I have low blood pressure but I havnt felt like that since first trimester.

You're fine! Really, I promise! Labour will start soon. Mine started a few hours after my plug came out. It'll be hours of managing your contractions. I found an exercise ball to be the best help for relieving contractions and pain.

Baby's gotta come out and yeah it's nerve wracking but it will fly by and soon your baby will be here. There's nothing you can do, just let it happen! If you have back labour, hands and knees is the best position for relieving it and it helps flip the baby into the right position.

Don't lay on your back - I had to lay down for about three minutes and it's the only pain I remember, it was traumatizing. I have no idea how doctors force women to labour like that, but it was unbelievable hell. Squatting, standing, hands and knees are what I recommend.

SLEEP. You won't get much rest but try to nap as much as possible. Even when the contractions are more consistent, you'll get some rest between them. You'll need the rest for pushing.

I was planning on doing squatting birth, seems more comfortable and easier anyways. Actually bought an excersice ball for that purpose, I want to go med free, the needle in my spine and all the side effects scare me a hell of a lot more than the pain. I've decided I'll try gas if I cant bear it but I hate nausea so that my final resort.

Fantastic :) squatting is best; just go with your body and let it do its thing. I had my LO on all fours. I've seen the gas on tv, we don't have the option of gas in Ontario/Canada, it seems to be a U.K. thing? I had my boy with no meds or painkillers on my bed. You can totally do it. There were a couple times in labour when I wondered why I was doing it, and that I wanted pain killer - but I reminded myself, pain killers make it harder to push and will require more meds that make it even more painful, so I'm better off where I am!

Exercise ball was my salvation! I spent my active labour leaning over/on it.

During labour I never wanted to ever do it again, I thought I was freaking insane - once my boy was born I would have done it all over again without a second thought. (Still would we want more lol). When you want to give up and can't take it anymore, that's when you're almost done. I had been told that and when I reached that point of "I can't do this" and just wanting to give up, I kept reminding myself of it. Once you get there, it's almost over. It does end! I really does and you'll have your baby soon :D

Feeling a bit dizzy and weird

a general "I think im sick" feeling

Talk to your midwife if that keeps up. And maybe take your temperature, just to make sure you are not actually sick.
