I don't really watch for the accidents, and I don't like accidents that cause lasting physical harm, but everyone on the track accepted the risks when they got on the track. (In fact, they signed waivers to get on said track.)
So, I don't have any moral qualms about enjoying the wrecks. In fact, I look forward to them as a part of the excitement. Wrecks are a part of racing.
These people trash millions of dollars worth of fine machinery, just for my amusement. Watching this brings me many smiles and chuckles - doubly so when it's caused by a stupid mistake and I can point out the driver's error.

Oh, it's fucking awesome.
I had three hours in a real F3 car. I didn't even get twenty feet before the big puff and smell of burnt clutch filled the air.
It was still pretty much the best day ever.

I've always wanted to flip over an aluminum canoe and stuff an aircooled vw motor in the back to make a salt flats racer or f1 car for the road. It would really depend on how clean it came out.

They're doing awesome things with motorcycle engines nowadays.

I'm pretty fond of modern safety designs.
