Ahh yeah I remember I can recall that convo without going back and reading it, to me it's just our policy makers failing to protect the community again because of the over politicisation of the issue. I can defiantly agree that this is a far better case or at least strait forward case for deportation than the Sydney gangster but the fact this guy got out into the community shows that our legal system is failing the community here. As with the Jail argument, he should be in a high level of security and on paper a Jail makes a lot more sense than a detention centre for sure. I would say that because his visa was candled he was probably moved out of an Australian Jail and into a centre for deportation when he'd just decided to crack the shits about going home to Afghanistan probably because he did similar crimes back there (speculation from me). I do understand that there are innocents in detention centres but there are clearly people this as well, it's such a hard issue to solve and I think the best really is to stop people smuggling and I guess separate family s off. I don't really know what arrangements occur there especially with family who are not refugees. I'm glad I'm not making the hard decisions personally.
