G'day to the Aussie and other Voat goats. Today I posted a link to /v/Australia, of a page on the Australian governments Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade web site, regarding the 'Trade in Services Agreement' or TiSA, Link to comment section. The TiSA is said to be the replacement for the TPP, only more scary. Not long after posting the link, @Norm85 was kind enough to send me a link to an article that pointed to several sites that could further elaborate on the content of the TiSA. After reading some of the content in those sites, I decided that the TiSA needs to be exposed to as many people as possible, with as much information as possible and in as many formats as possible. This post will be a sticky within /v/Australia until one of the other Aussie mods decides that they need to post a Sticky. Then I will place it in the sidebar for further viewing. Also, It will be place within /v/VoatIndex as a subject for future availability.
If the information from those sites regarding the TiSA is correct, it could change and lock in undesirable measures that are designed to freeze and eventually deregulate government standards in education, healthcare, transport, water, telecommunications, postal services, aged care, child care, energy, retail and banking services. It will push for the privatization of public infrastructure and erode your online privacy, allow companies to import workers and much much more. Also, the TiSA could be signed this year.
The article, 'Ten things you need to know about TiSA' is a good place to start, you can find it within the AFTINET links.
I will post a link to a code box with this post in it to maintain the formatting minus the introduction so anyone can cut, paste, edit and use this information at their own leisure. Also, please feel free to post new links in the comment section of this post if you would like me to add them to this sticky.
