Interesting case, he was claiming ignorance of the law which is not a valid a defence and then the judge cites this sporting club shunning him as a huge deal. I can think of the English footballer Adam Johnston who got 6 years jail for a similar case, I cant help but think his ignorance and his background are being used as factors in his sentence which in it'self is unjust. I cant wait for all the feminists and SJW's to go nuts OHHHh he's a Black refugee from Africa forget it. To think if you where Malay flag undies on the streets of Malaysia you get a worse sentence than grooming and sex with a minor in Australia. What a cuck nation we are becoming.

Edit: correction budgie 9 got a warning and let off. Luck but moot point.

His ignorance was not a factor

Justice Elkaim agreed with the report and said: "I do not accept the offender was unaware of the relevance of the victim's age."

His past history may have been

The court heard Kamara had a difficult childhood after his parents were murdered in violence in his homeland when he was eight.

It also had to do with the fact that the 15 year old actively participated in the whole thing as well

"The telephone contained 67 images of the complainant either naked or in underwear, but all in sexual poses, and also 23 videos of the complainant again showing sexual poses," he told the court.

Now if he did rape her, I'd have said throw him in the darkest place and lose the key, but this is not the case. Even though she was a minor the whole thing was consensual. It's still a criminal offence, but one with a different set of guidelines.
