They've been getting a lot of hate recently but the one thing I say they have going for them is just that. We need creative people in Hollywood. They are not afraid to take risks and do things no one else has even thought of. Even if it fails 9 times out of 10 I have to give them a lot of credit for trying something new because that's what Hollywood should be about

Yeah, because some of the content in their movies is borderline questioning the existence of God (the Matrix is a big one for this) and life as we know it.
People will always rant about them instead of just enjoying the movies for what they are.
Regardless, the Matrix has become one of the most iconic and genre bending cyberpunk sci-fi movies ever made.
Plus it was the first movie to ever create and use what is now known as "bullet time slow motion."
It was the one movie that made cyberpunk and virtual reality look cool again.

Feel like that's a major problem for movies. Not just about religion but anytime something is brought up that is contrary to what they accept and believe people get up in arms about it. I agree that you just need to enjoy the movie
