Off recent memory I have to say mad max fury road. Just so much going on and I loved it

That has been my favourite of the summer so far. Really loved Tom Hardy in that. Despite having very little dialogue in the movie he plays the part perfectly well and you can really get his story through just his facial expressions

That's a hard one, but definitely for now, it's a close call between the Lord of the Rings /Hobbit series, the Harry Potter series, the new Star Trek series and the Matrix series.
But if I had to choose a favorite from this year, it would be Jupiter Ascending.

Can tell you are a Wachowski fan. To be honest I never saw Jupiter ascending so I can't really comment on if it deserved all that hate it got. Abrams star trek are some of my favourite recent science fiction films that have been out recently. I love the original series and the way he turned them around was just amazing. And of course it's impossible to hate on Harry potter or LOTR

Oh yes, I'm a pretty avid Wachoski Bros fan. They always seem to produce some of the most unique and intriguing storylines paired with some of the most ground breaking visual special effects and jaw dropping sci fi vistas.
I love them for thier "what if our life is a lie/is there something more than what we've been seeing" sci-fi motive.

Right now I would probably say my favourite movie is Ex Machina. I actually just did a discussion Thread about it so feel free to go over and read my review and discuss what you guys think

That's actually a pretty interesting movie considering how much we're advancing in AI development right now.
Google has tought a computer how to dream, some other developers have created artificial neuron networks capable of actual cognitive learning skills and students at a university have made the first self aware AI.
I've actually taken a keen interest in reading and studying about AI and plan on making and experimenting around with a simple one later on down the line.

The director Alex Garland says the movie takes place "5 minutes from now" by that he says he means that if Google or Apple came out tomorrow and said they created and AI we would all be surprised but honestly not that surprised. I really thought the way he put that was brilliant. To be honest AI is a very frightening thing for me and this movie dos such a good job with it on a small scale
