At least she should have abstained in a submission so related to her and let another mod do the work.

She deleted that large thread, probably knowing it would make her look bad, because it was violating the rules. She upheld the rules instead of selectively failing to enforce them to avoid making herself look worse. She put the rules first. I think that's being a good mod.

Yeah, but then it's just being political. Doing things to save face, and "send a message", instead of just doing the most practical thing.

I am really tired of all of the bitching and complaining about the rules:

  1. Rule #1 might be vague but it is being reasonably and fairly enforced. We are even encouraged to resubmit.

  2. Who cares. Just add a fucking question mark to your post and get on with your lives.

  3. This isnt Reddit.

  4. @she is doing a good job as a moderator. She even contributes to various conversations. The backlash that is occuring because of this micro-niuance has reached an epic proportion of ridiculousness.

Anyone that can stir up this much debate is good for a free and open community.

To be fair, you should have said @she, not just she :P

Perhaps she is doing a good work. But, a place of responsibility implies she should be trustworthy for the users. Submitting links of other users comments with titles like "Target removes gender labels from kids toys. Voat decides to blame it on the SJW's" does not help. Submissions like that shows mistrust and contempt for Voat that should not exist if we want to have mutual trust.

How annoying. Just let the community decide whether or not something merits conversation. Mods should only be there to delete spam and spammers in my opinion, not teaching grammar.
