Seriously. PLEASE take a look at /u/she 's profile.
Yes, she seems cool.
Yes, she supports Voat as a community.
But also Yes, she seems extremely SJW-y.
Remember this is how the SJWs took down Reddit as well. It didn't happen all at once, no one would have stood for that.
Instead it came slowly with them becoming mods of giant default subs like AskReddit.
I fiercely support Voat and I love the community here. I'm also very pro internet freedom. I'm sure there's tons of users like me.
So why is someone with such a shady profile being appointed a mod?
Why is she allowed to have so much power?
At the very least appoint someone else with a different view to counteract that enormous responsibility.
I said previously that moderation is a huge task and it is. But after thinking about it, large amounts of my free time are a small price to pay to ensure internet freedom on Voat. I've been here a while too. I love this site as much if not more than anyone else.
I am requesting mod rights, or if not me, at least someone else who feels as strongly as I do.
In response to several comments (that have valid points), I will be making a video outlining who I am and why I care so much about the state of Voat. This video will also address comments that suggest that I am extremely biased against sjws/feminists. Free speech is free speech. Whether you're fighting for women's rights or just asking about a tv show is not the point. The point is censorship and whether or not your voice can be heard. I'm scared Voat is about to take the first steps on a terrifyingly slippery slope.
Edit: I meant ownership, not mod... Forgive me its been a long day
last edit: The video will be out late Saturday or Sunday. I look forward to your feedback.
