How are they wrong? What does it have to do with "social justice"?

This site is showing its ignorance with transgender issues. People have gone so far as to talk about here, with certainty, how they worry that trans folks are just "delusional" and just want to "mutilate themselves."

Hey guess what, most every trans person undergoing any ongoing therapy/surgery has had months if not years of correspondence with at least one, if not two or three different, therapists and/or psychiatrists. So tell ya what, when you go to school, learn all of that, study it, and then go on to practice for years and use that to form your own educated opinion on the best way to address gender dysphoria with some kind of actual backing of knowledge THEN you can make some dumbass post here about how you're so sure you've got gender dysphoria figured out.

So, like they say with evolution - go learn yourself some stuff, study it, change the field's opinion and collect your prize for being a successful scholar. Otherwise, stop pretending like you know better than the professionals who are trained to work with people on these issues. It's pretty simple.

Also, the person above you made a completely valid point, it is not a false equivalence at all. If you haven't cooked with mushrooms, or known anyone who has liked mushrooms, experienced mushrooms, grown mushrooms, or even seen a fucking mushroom in person, how in the world do you think you can actually make a solid and educated judgement on the nature of mushrooms? You can have baseless opinions on them, and that's pretty much what a lot of people here have, totally uneducated opinions.

Frankly, you are the asshole. You jumped down the guys throat for making a reasonable comparison. It has nothing to do with social justice, and he is not "bullying" anyone. You're just jerking the "lol voat is so antifem antisjw we free here!" so hard that you're about to chafe it. Also, they weren't expressing an 'opinion,' they offered a thought which you totally ignored. How do you respond to someone who asks you about mushrooms when you have no experience or knowledge at all? They didn't say the subject couldn't be discussed. The problem is people ask these questions all wrong, and approach is from a "trans people are just delusional or crazy and dont know what they're doing i saw the jenner on my tv box on the fox news and im for some reason mad about it." Why not ask some folks who have experience and knowledge in the field to educate you, rather than pretending like you're being oppressed and throwing a shit fit.. Which is, yes, ironic.. In your mighty anti-SJW circlejerk you've become the one to whine and cry "oppression and bullying!" at the drop of a hat. Way to go.

Because I bet it's differently than if someone asked you about whether trans folks should be able to do what their licensed and educated therapists who have actual experience recommends, because you probably have an opinion on that. And frankly, unless you are learned in the subject, it is a stupid opinion. I hate to break it to you, but you can be a big crusader of anti-SJW all day long but that does not make your opinions better or more valid. You can have them, and you can post them, but they can still be fucking stupid.

Whoa hey, sorry if I was wrong. Please enlighten me so that I'll know more about these things and can be more constructive in the future.

I don't know what their problem is.

But the medical transition isn't significantly easier for MtFs than it is for FtMs in most areas, barring surgical interventions. (Lower-body ones aren't exceptional for either group, but FtMs certainly have it worse for these.) Breast growth is often not remarkable for MtFs and takes a long time to onset and complete, and electrolysis or laser hair removal is usually necessary for getting rid of one's beard and other unwanted patches of hair. This is true especially when one starts hormonal treatments after beginning puberty--and most trans people would fall into this category. It's a years-long process going both ways.

-

MtFs probably tend to have a more difficult time living unnoticed as women than FtMs do as men, which might make them more visible generally. As well, MtFs are displayed and examined much more by modern media and a culture which tends to put the spotlight on that which is feminine. Things like the Jenner transition and that trans actress in 'Orange is the New Black' have sparked a lot of recent attention for trans people in the recent months (and years), and this attention has been namely for MtFs.

Hell, MtFs could simply be more common than FtMs.

He/she pointed out that he/she believes this. Freedom of speech? Ever heard about it?

Edit: If you think the post is bullshit prove it with some counter-arguments. Comparing the statement to mushrooms won't help creating an interesting conversation IMHO. + edit: wording
