If by saving them you mean recording them then yes. I don't think it's necessary to have a culture to speak it though. Just have it on record for a historical insight on how a certain group spoke.

This is the right way.

It is good to record and archive language as history if they come to disappear. It's not worth it to try to "save" language as a cultural thing when they disappear by themselves. Record them, but don't enforce them.

... if for some reason the speech community DOES NOT want their language recorded, I believe we should respect those wishes ...

Any example of such languages you can share with us?

Revival would be nigh impossible. Archival? Absolutely, do that at least.

No. Translation to a universal language should be saved in case relevant works from that culture are later recovered, but let a dying language die and be thankful for it. Language is one of the few major divides we still have that creates artificial insularity and division.

What I want is for there to me a really simple language. Where you can express the most information with the least amount of word, but also have easy pronunciation. If we can strike that balance, then we have future proofed ourselves.

Languages are way harder than I thought they would be.

As a guy who lives in europe and has to travel, fuck languages. It's a fun novelty but god damn I wish everyone spoke the same, it's a massive pain in the arse to not be able to communicate with people and just splits teams and costs money and time to deal with.

Language that is true will be remembered forever, but false language will be forgotten.
