denver is an amazing and very culturally diverse city that has some of the best food in the country. its my favorite city for food, hands down. there is an incredible pulse to the city. my favorite vietnamese restaurant is there (new saigon? been a while), my favorite deli (heidi's deli), best asian fusion samplers (zengo..xo edamame mmm), and my favorite ice cream shop (little mans), plus countless other restaurants throughout the city, those are just examples off the top of my head. i would say it's probably my favorite city in the nation. ...that being said...i would never throw someone into the ringer without having the slightest bit of background on them. I biked that entire city every day between school, work, and parties for 4 years straight and have been all over. i lived downtown, i lived in englewood, i lived off MLK, and cap hill. i've lived in sketch neighborhoods and in really nice neighborhoods...but in that time i've learned where not to go and what to avoid. this question seemed to be asking for general advice for what is likely a weekend trip. in which, they likely won't get to be as immersive in their exploration as denver deserves. i don't think people are trying to discourage experiencing denver, ppl are likely just hesitant to throw a likely young girl into potentially dangerous situations and areas if they don't have a shred of common sense.

Ben's Chili Bowl in Wash dc used to be in a great black neighborhood on U street, after the riots it was in a shit area for 30 years, now it's in a loverly gentrified cityscape...they never moved...look at Daddy Bruce, or Pete's Satire or el Chupultapec, you still wouldn't leave your teenage daughter at any of these places at night...and if yer hangin out with Dad during the day you need to see this part of america before it disappears..
btw...who said "young girl"? and how did you read sooo much into one short question? likely shmikely.
