They chuck a lot of traditionalism for various reasons,

Abortion, they are for because of its impact to minority populations when used as birth control. They are overwhelmingly pro eugenics, and pro human euthanasia to limit any impact the physically or mentally deficient would have to society. They are anti-religion to a large degree.

As for cultural unity, they seem to follow the German National Socialist thinking of cultivating a mythical traditionalism, some 'never was' dream ideal from a past that never happened. And in turn giving society that instead of actually traditionalism built up on generations. Also I think with the popularity of neo-technoism there, many in fact reject traditionalism outright, viewing it as impossible to even maintain in a world changing as fast economically, and hence politically, as we have now. Traditionalism in that sense is little more than an emotional appeal, an utopianist fantasy.

Admittedly they're very selective in their traditionalism, but at least they don't throw the baby out with the bathwater like most leftists do. I don't mind abortion, eugenics (promoted, not enforced), euthanasia. When it comes to anti-religious I don't think you're right. There do seem to be a fair amount of religious people in pol and a lot of the atheists are still Christian in a lot of other ways.

Yes, they're certainly appealing to a mythical traditionalism of old that they've altered. I think they're right in realizing it is no longer possible to maintain that in modern times. But I like that they don't just throw it all away, which is what I have a big problem with leftists about.
