My rule of 6. It is a depression coping mechanism that I came up with (someone else could have also, but I know I didn't learn it from someone else):

Rule of 6:

In 6 hours, you will be older, <shock back into the moment>

In 6 weeks, the situation you are in right now will most likely be resolved/different, <understanding that things change>

In 6 months, you will have learned and if you do right, you will be in a better place, <a good future is possible, clear your head and think>

In 6 years, a better place <GOAL!>
