you can only gain experience from doing hands on work in your field of interest as apposed to always sitting in a classroom working on theory. i agree so much

Ehh.. While in the engineering program I acquired a good foundation in problem solving which would have been difficult to get learning on the job. But I learned a fuck ton more on the job then I ever did in school

Nice and simple answer. Kids walk away with no debt and more knowledge. Then, if they want to change careers, they don't have a fuck load of loan payments to worry about.

Exactly, graduates today are locked into their field. I feel that less standardized education/university would provide people with far more options to expand their experience.
