The issue is the implication that if it is OK to dump a load of content at once then all someone needs to do is write a script to run and copy/paste a RSS feed to /v/news or some place. Then sit back and swim in the CP. It drowns out the discussion, it discourages other from participating, it almost totally defeats the core point of sites like Voat. I don't want to tune in to someone's personal RSS feed, I want to have an intelligent discussion about current events that have some sort of personal significance to you and everyone else.
