I always assumed that we'd be called Voaters, but I think your first suggestion is pretty neat.

I'm a fan of Voaters. It's simple. It fits. Plus it is really confusing, imagine if this site ever gets popular enough that it gets mentioned all the time on the news like reddit does, it'll finally sound like the american voting block got fed up enough to do something, "Voaters organized a mass protest over new internet rules proposed by FCC Chairman." It makes us sound legit.

I personally like Voaters too. On the other hand, I wonder if there are any good nicknames we can think of that don't have the word "voat" in it.

I like this because it reminds us and others that we contribute to things and our individual decisions make up part of the whole.

In before people disenfranchised with the democratic process in their nation get all grumpy about it.
