There's nothing saying they can't be though, clearly there's just money to be made advertising religion to idiots on tv but not so much supplements and the like.
Also: I'm not from America so religion isn't on TV all hours of the day and night guilting people into sending money to them for me, in fact I don't think that kind of stuff is ever really on tv at all. Your country is weird sometimes.
