Interstella travel is much harder than you would think. At the moment impossible. The best we can currently hope to achieve is a kind colony on the moon or mars.

The only real reason to do it is insurance against a planet wide catastrophy. Even then that would only be sustainable independantly for a tiny number of humans for what a decade?

I'm saying to do things on earth before going there because we need to handle the things that are a challenge on earth first.

But why waste the resources? We've gotta be on some fucked up Biff Tannon alternate timeline because I feel like this planet is doomed and our time as a species is officially finite. We have to branch out.
