Yes, but he was crippled by having a House run by a spineless jackass who thought the Russian hoax might be true and was scared of being too productive on Trump's agenda. He still might not have passed everything because there is a limit to how much the Republicans would change Senate rules in the filibuster unless they were addressing a specific issue start by Reid under the Democrats.

So, yes, I am frustrated and angry. But not that much at Trump. More at those in Congress and quite of few of his advisors who gave him conventional, but bad, advice.

Then it was his fault for trusting that bad advice. He campaigned on America first policies like limits on immigration, the wall, and other stuff.

Plus he could have pressured the senate to just make the filibuster harder to use.

To be honest, I think he was shocked at what he found. He assumed he was the dirty dealer in the room and he found he was approaching the most honest. What woukd you do? You're the biggest shark and you find yourself on the African Savannah. Lots of hyenas, etc.
