I'm not. That show is pandering garbage. There's not one part of that show that interests me. And before you ask, I've watched the entire first season.
It's boobs and gore, which is just pandering IMO. It appeals to the rebel nature people have towards the puritan roots the country has that creates the sex/nudity shaming. I hear more people talk about how good the sex is on the show more than any other aspect, the second most is the how anyone can die. The two biggest selling points of the show are sex and violence.
As a hardcore nerdy nerd of shame +5 I read the books before the show existed. I'm glad mainstream folks get to have a show based on stuff I liked, but the show does very little for me. I like some of the casting, especially for Joffrey, Tyrion, and Arya, but even at their best, they aren't as good as the books.
OFC, I also appreciate the eye candy, but not even Rose Leslie naked can make the show match up to the books.
I have questions, because I am genuinely curious:
1. Have you read any of the books?
2. Who do you propose the television show is pandering to, how and why?
